Leaking Water Heater

So Sunday I notice some dark brown liquid coming from our hot water heater, and then a smell of something dead that was burning, not a pleasant smell. That is for sure. So on Monday I call our property manager to have see if they can get someone out to fix it, since I was certain that the heater was leaking. And I have a 6 month old who loves to crawl and get into EVERYTHING!!!! I wanted this fixed asap. She wasn't able to get some out to our place till Today, and but they came and they confirmed my thinking. The heater was leaking and it leaked so much that the floor in between the kitchen and living room is soaked, and I mean SOAKED!!!! What is kinda interesting is that we are cat sitting for some friends and the heater didn't start leaking till after we get the cat, and which means that the floor didn't get wet till afterwards. and it started out as just a wet spot. I thought the cat had peed on my floor and then when there was another spot I thought "freaking cat stop peeing on my floor, and right where I walk" but come to find out it was the water from water heater and not the cat. Poor thing getting blamed for something she didn't do. But I am so glad we are getting it fixed.

Brittannia Meets Santa

The barber shop where Robert sometimes gets his hair cut decorated his place up with a bunch of trains and winter villages and winter scenes. It was really awesome to see so many different village scenes. The guy apparently does this every year and lets children of the town come in and watch the trains go and look at the villages. He does this for free so anyone can come in. Plus he has a chair set aside for the special visitor. :) Santa. Brittannia loved looking at all the winter scenes and lights. And everyone just loved her smile. She was the star of the show until Santa came, then everyone wanted to see her on his lap.
During the year this stuffed bear just sits there, but this time he was decorated with a singing jingle bells hat that Brittannia loved. She wasn't even scared by the bear's growling face. She just wanted to play with it.
Once we put her on Santa's lap she went straight for the jingle bells. She didn't cry or even get a sad face. She did get a look of curiosity, but she never cried. We believe she was just enchanted by all the lights and the bells to care about who was holding her.
We did get a great picture of her smiling while sitting with Santa. Everyone was shocked that she did not cry.
Brittannia is such a great baby. She hardly ever cries, and loves to explore new things. It is really hard to keep her away from things cause she just wants to learn about them and see everything. She loves being mobile and being able to get into things.

Spending time with Daddy

Robert is such a great father, He loves to spend time with his little girl. Robert has also taught Brittannia how to kiss, and on my Facebook page i have a video of him doing just that. But I thought I would put up some of the pictures of Brittannia and her daddy playing and hanging out.

So these two photos are of Robert and Brittannia playing with her pacie.

Here they are chilling and watching football on Sunday, just the why I did with my own father.

They are just so cute together. You can really feel the love Robert has for his daughter. The play so well together and what is so cute, is in the morning when Brittannia wakes up she crawls over to him and slaps his arms and face until he wakes up and rolls over to play with her.
There really isn't to much to update on, we are in finals week and then getting ready for Christmas.

Living Nativity

Last night we went to the Living Nativity that town the put on. It was really nice to go "back in time" and just experience the birth of Christ. It was dark since we went at night and they had live animals there and I didn't want to have the flash going off and risk spooking the animals. so the pictures are kinda dark.
The whole family before we went through to the town of Bethlehem.
Petting the live camel. and it was a 2 hump camel. It was really pretty cool to see the animals.
The angels that came to the shepherds.
This is at the manger with Mary, Joesph, Christ and the wise men. The angel is right above Mary and Joesph. Behind her is a spot light that they used for the Star.
Our little bundle in her snow suit. She looked so good. Brittannia did have a good time seeing the animals and such. We ended our night with watching the First Presidencies Christmas message.

Christmas Decorating

Well I finally dug out all the Christmas decorations and put them up. I didn't get a picture of it but since we have a tile ceiling I put Christmas tree balls up with pine cones in the tile, it actually turned out really cute. But we went to get our Christmas Tree from some friends who were selling them. We got a small one but it is what we one could afford and two could fit in our place.
Brittannia with her First Christmas Tree

you can't see them but we have clear and silver bells with blue and white ligths on the tree.
My home made Wreath, with purple lights
The ligths are along the windows and then wrapped around the railing.

6 Years

Since Robert had the day off yesterday we decided that we should go and do something maybe even have a date. Yes with the baby. But to continue, we ended up going down to Lynchburg. this is the city where Robert and I met. So we thought why not go to the IHOP where we went for food after the dance and to get to know each other better. or in other words our first date. We We went to the same IHOP and it was actually kind of fun to remember that meeting and we joked that after 6 years, 3 of which have been in marriage, what IHOP produced. :) a family. But it has been 6 years plus a few weeks since we first meet at the Tri-Stake dance for Young Single Adults. Kind of amazing what the Lord plans for us.
Sitting at the table where we had our first date.
My turn to hold daddy's hand

Donoven and Brittannia

Brittannia is pretty lucky because she has 2 cousins that are her age. One one each side of the family. Donven is 3 months younger that Brittannia but bigger than her. Kinda funny but is was cute to watch her with him.
We had him on the couch and she crawled over to see what was crying.
Were are family so I can eat your shirt. :)
While we were down there we decided to get a picture of all the cousins in their Christmas dresses and clothes. I was able to get a few of Brittannia and Donoven together.
Or I will hit you with my shoe.
Oh I am sorry
Hello there.

Thanksgiving 2

Okay so here are more pictures of Brittannia and her being her.
She loves to be mobile, whether crawling, working on the standing and walking or on a ducky or train. She just loves it. When I first put her on the duck she tried to stand up on it like she was surfing or something.
For Thanksgiving dinner (lunch) I gave her some sweet potatoes and carrots and she just loved
it. Brittannia was able to sit up at the table with us in the high chair and it was just fun all around.

Because Robert had to work he wasn't able to go play in the Turkey bowl, so we decided to start and new family tradition and that was to go shooting. So we covered up Brittannia's ears and went out on the porch and shot off daddy's guns. Both grandpa and grandma shot the 22 and the I was able to shoot Robert's 38. I even surprised him at how well I can hit the target. So for all you who want to mess with my family or the mommy I would think twice :). But we really did have a good time. Robert enjoyed it that is for sure. And yes that is a bullet in her hand. I had to get a picture of her playing with the suit case, and her face. Face because it mirrors that face her mother (yes myself) when I was caught doing something that I wasn't suppose to. So the question I am faced with is how do punish that face???

Thanksgiving 1

Well my sisters have beaten me on getting up their Thanksgiving posts but in my defense my computer screen is broken and I have to use the TV screen. Plus have my keys are not working so well because I have a 6 month old who loves to play with whatever mommy has. I am also going to do this post in 2 parts. Part one will be pictures of Brittannia and her crazy antics. and the second will be cousins and Thanksgiving day pictures.
But moving on... This year Robert and I stayed in Virginia and spent the holiday with his parents. Robert had to work Thanksgiving day so we had to have a early dinner, but because of this the rest of the family was able to nap and still be tired for bedtime. :) But we did miss having Robert therefor the whole weekend. We drove down on Wednesday then Robert drove home on Thursday to be at work. But Brittannia and I stayed till Saturday to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma Moses, Great Aunt Becky, and the Langfitt's.
We had a really great time being down there. Brittannia loved being with her family and being spoiled. Plus it was just nice to have the chance to take a break from school and such.
So this photo can be on either part. Thanksgiving morning we wake up and go into the living room to talk with family and such. I put Brittannia down on the floor and she proceeds to crawl to the couch. After realizing that it is much harder to stand with socks on a hardwood floor she gets back down and then slides herself under the couch and hangs out under there till mommy got tired of being on the floor and wanted to go shoot some guns with daddy.
Then on Friday night as I am helping my mother in law with a project in the office, I go to check on Brittannia who was in the lounge area I find that she has crawled herself over to the little bears desk, pulled herself up and is playing with the bears. She had so much fun being at grandma's because their were so many new things to get into and do.
Brittannia has become fascinated with her car seat, but only when she does not have to be in it. She loves to play with the buckles. I do fear she will one day learn how to undo them and that day will be the end to my sanity. :)
I had to put up this picture because of how sweet, innocent, and beautiful she looks here. not mention the hand. She fell asleep like that.
I LOVE her BLUE eyes here. the cold weather makes them pop so much.
To end this post I thought I should put in a photo of Brittannia and her cousins.

Visit from Randie

Today we had a wonderful surprise. I was sitting in class when I got a text from my best friend Randie. She was on her way home to Pennsylvania and was going to be driving through Buena Vista. She said that she wanted to stop by and visit for a bit. It was so great since it has almost been a year since we last saw each other. Plus she was able to see Brittannia for the first time.
When Brittannia first saw Randie she was like who is this person my mother is handing me off to. But it did not take her long to warm up to Ran. She was loving the attention. I finally able to get a picture of Brittannia's line smile face. She would refuse to actually smile when we took out the camera. But we finally did get her smile for the camera.
Brittannia was loving the time she got with her "aunt" Randie. Brittannia even "marked" Ran by chewing, and SUCKING on Ran's fingers. She would take her finger and start sucking on it and when we pulled out the camera she started smiling while continuing to suck on Randie's finger. It was so stinking adorable.

Right before Randie left to continue her drive home. We were able to get some pictures so yay.
We were standing there getting ready to take the pictures and Randie did something and I was like Oh Child, then realized that I was starting to mother Randie. It was kinda funny seeing that it was a role swap for us. Randie was the one who was like my mom when I first came out to BV and a Freshman in college. And to have me now calling her child, what makes this even more funny is that Randie is almost a whole year younger than me but she was mostly the mature one. Funny how times and events can change things. So fun so have spent some time with her.

We Love You Aunt Randie.
