Thanksgiving Dinner

Since Robert works at Wal-Mart and was not allowed to get time off, we were able to have of First Thanksgiving as the Robert Moses family. I also had the chance to cook my very first Thanksgiving meal by myself. It wasn't a lot, jut turkey, candied sweet potatoes, southern fried green beans, pink stuff, and stuffing. We did also have to Pies, Pumpkin and Razzleberry.  It turned out great, and I am glad I had the chance. I know that it is a lot more fun to have Thanksgiving dinner when there are more people waround. like friends and family.
While we were waiting for the food to cook, I made Gingerbread Cookies, and Brittannia helped to cut of the little men and then enjoyed playing with the frosting.

Ready to Drive

Jessica's girls have the jeep that they can drive around the yard. Since it was such nice weather while we were there, we spent a good amount of time outside. Jessica took the quad for the kids to play with and Brittannia LOVED the the jeep and the little pick quad that they had too. She loved playing in it and trying to drive it around. She would also come get wipes and clean the car off. Looks like we know what we can get her for her birthday.

Beefaroni

While we were out there Kayda and Mckya wanted ravioli and Beefaroni for lunch, so I heated it up and split the cans between the girls and Kyton. Brittannia LOVED it. As you can tell she tried to eat it off her arm. She also worked on using forks and spoons while we out there. It is still a work in progress.

While I was cleaning up Brittannia, Kyton was happily eating away, when I walked back by the kitchen after being gone for about a minute, he had fallen asleep. It was too funny to not get a picture of it. He fell asleep to fast that I did not have time to get him cleaned up. As I was laying him down on the couch to clean up what I could, I remember his older brother, Brock doing something like this when her was a baby. Kyton has such a knack for falling asleep instantly. Something he gets from his parents.

Visit to AZ

Last week Brittannia and I went out to Arizona to visit with my sister Jessica and her kids. We had such a really great time out there. Brittannia loved having Kyton to play with and her other cousins. her naps were much longer than the ones at home. I was able to she how she will be with a new baby at home. and she will adjust just well. In all we spent a week and half out there, and enjoyed spending time with family. Jessica posted on her blog a few of the things we did with some great photos and instead of re-writing it all out I copied the links to her posts so you can all go see them. that is if you haven't checked out her blog lately.

The first link is the the treasure hunt the Grandpa took the kids on. there is a cave up on Mingus Mountain that he took them all to where they could look for "gold" Since we went out at 6:00pm Brittannia was getting tired and was getting grumpy, but she did like to see all the rocks and such. It did not help any that when I put he down so she could walk , when she did turn around she fell and bonked her head on a rock. She was OK, but did have a cut on her head, and you know how head wounds bleed. Also on the that trip Brittannia got car sick for the very first time and threw up her corn dog. http://www.fringersangels.blogspot.com/2012/11/treasure-hunting-with-grandpa-randy.html

This second link is tot eh hike that Grandpa took the kids on. He had them walk it and then taught them about Mormon Tea and how to throw rocks off the ledge. Brittannia tried to throw some too, but I wasn't able to get a good picture of her doing it. Plus I was also trying to keep her as far from the edge as I could.

Taking her long naps, she really wore herself out when she was there.

Halloween

This year Brittannia went as Snow White and I was Pocahontas. Robert was suppose to go into work so he was just a Walmart Manager.

We went to our branch's trunk or treat, and while there Robert's stomach ache got really worse, and he needed to be taken to the ER. Turns out they do not know what is causing him to have agonizing pain in his abdomen. They have ruled out the gallbladder, they are now thinking he has ulcers. they are going to be doing the colonscopy and EGD tomorrow (11/2/12) basically stick cameras in the top and bottom. To find out what is wrong. So Brittannia got to do the trunk or treat with Grandpa and Nana, while mommy and daddy were at the hospital. She had a blast though and enjoyed it all.

Hopefully next year we will be able to to do the trunk or treat and we can figure out why Robert is hurting ALL the time and sick.

Hope every one had a great Halloween.

Appendicitis!!!!!!

So Yesterday after we had the sonogram to see our new addition, we came home and Robert sat down to eat something before heading off to bed to get some more sleep before work. He mentioned having a stomach ache and we thought nothing of it and he went to lay down. Well by 4:30pm the pain had only gotten worse, and still we though well maybe He just needs to walk around some. so we went over to dad's to finish up some things and he went to help do a service project (hauling sand I believe) The while time he was doing the service he felt fine. no pain. But when he got home and left for work he was really hurting. Fast forward to 11:30pm. I get a phone call from the shift manager at Wal-Mart telling me that they called an ambulance to take Robert to the ER because he had passed out on the floor. So I called dad to see if he come pick me up (Robert had the our only car at Wal-Mart) and take Brittannia so I could focus on Robert and Brittannia did not have to go to the ER. I show up to the Er and they tell me that they think it is Kidney Stones. They ordered the CT scan and we were waiting on that to confirm or not the possible diagnosis. Well after the CT Scan the Dr came in and told us that it was not kidney Stones but an early stage of Appendicitis. They admitted him and we waited till this morning to get the surgical consult and get the surgery to take out the appendix.  By 9 am the surgeon was in and by 10:30 am Robert was down in the OR getting the surgery done.
Getting prepped for surgery
The surgery was only about an hour long and then he was in the Recovery Room for about 45 minutes. He wanted to sleep. ;) but they finally brought him up to the room and he fell asleep again. spent the next hour a sleep. Which I think was needed.
Our sleeping patient
I got a few pictures of his incisions before he went back to sleep after our little walk around the floor.

It was three total. the one at the belly button was for the camera. then one on the side was for the tools the doctor needed and the third was for the hose for the gas to make a cavern for the doctor to work in.
After walking around for a bit, and eating some jello and broth, he went back to sleep. Well I got to go. Robert just woke up and is in pain from the incisions.

Trampoline time

So while at Dad's place I put Brittannia on the trampoline so she could play and to see what she would do. Brittannia seemed to enjoy it. Krisi helped her on the bouncing and all. She did laugh a few times.

Good Times

Remember when you use to turn on the hose and get a drink of water? Brittannia was at Dad's place and saw the hose lying there and decided that she wanted a drink. She went over, picked it up and tried to drink from it. so I turned it on and let her play with the water. She did this all on her own. She loved it. She would go play then come back and get another drink.

Prayer time

So we have taught Brittannia how to fold her arms and will do so when we say prayer, but not the whole time, that is our next feat. ;). In all she will automatically fold her arms when we sit her up at the able. She helps to remind us to say prayer. She is also really great at folding them anytime we as her to. On most days. She is saying mommy, and hi a lot more She will say hi to you when you walk into the room she is in. And she will wave bye when we leave a room.
I do not have a video of this yet but it is so sweet. She has learned to give kisses and she loves to give them. she will come up to you and give you  kiss, then will go to another person give them a kiss and then come back to you. She will play this game when it is her bedtime as a way to avoid going to bed. It is really cute though. anyways here is a update on us.

Super Saturday

Also Yesterday liberal hosted the Super Saturday for the stake and Janel was in charge of it, so we went over to help her set up and get things ready for the kids. We also stayed and helped her run thegame and such. But it was a VERY long day for Brittannia who decided that she did not want to take a nap at all. She also got up at 6:30 in the morning.
But for some who had no nap she was a happy girl.
Brittannia did get some sun and she now has a "Mormon" tan on her arms. It is hard to see the picture. She did have a onesie on but mom forgot to change her and she had a HUGE diaper blow out and grandpa was nice and changed Brittannia for me.
In all we had a good day and Brittannia slept great all night.

I forgot to get pictures her playing with the kids and such but these are at the end of the day.

Air Fair

Yesterday Liberal had a Air Fair/Show at the air museum. So Robert and I loaded up Brittannia and we over to see it. It was pretty cool to see the planes and such, but we had to leave before any of the show part happened. but we did get some pictures of us in the helicopter that was there at the museum.

In all we had fun walking around and seeing different planes and watching the sky divers.

Air Park

Today I asked Robert if he would like to have a Daddy/Daughter Day with Brittannia. he said sure so I suggested that they go to one of the parks that are here in Liberal. I was thinking a park with a playground and swings. Robert was driving down one of the main roads and thought Let's go to the Air Museum. So that is what they did for their outing. they both had such a great time. Robert loved being able to talk about the plans with some one who would actually listen and not get bored. Brittannia had lots of fun playing in the planes. I love the look on her face in a few of the pictures.

Dodge City

Since Robert had to go back up to Dodge City to do his follow up appointment, we decided to go ahead and go to Boot Hill museum. We had such a blast there. Brittannia had so much fun playing with the water pump, the old desks, looking at the gun displays and even watching the variety show, She did not really care much the for shoot out I think it was because of the long silence and the instant sounds. Plus by that time she was exhausted. She loved playing in the jails and everything. In all we had such a great time visiting the site.
