DISCOVERY

Since the Space program had been cut, NASA has put on display the shuttles that they used for the Space Flights and such. In DC at the National Air  and Space Museum Annex, which is by Dulles Airport. They have on Display the Space Shuttle Discovery. This Space Shuttle has been to space a few times what makes this shuttle so special for our family is that Robert's grandfather worked on this shuttle when he was working for Boeing. The few other shuttles will be in New York (Enterprise) Cape Canaveral and California these two I am not sure which shuttle is going where.  After Mom caught her flight home on Thursday we went over to this exhibit so we could get a chance to see what Robert's namesake worked on.

You can see the damage the shuttle received when reentering the atmosphere. And they are not going to fix it up. they are going to keep the damage so we all can see what it took to get back home.

I found it interesting that they out the flag backwards like it is on the uniform of our military, but on the wing it is the right way.
