Jamestown

After picking mom up in Richmond  we drove over to Jamestown so she could see the settlement. I don't know about her but I do know we had fun watching her show Brittannia the ships, and such. It looked like they were having a lot of fun.At the reenactment settlement which is a few miles from the original fort that was built in 1607. And the ships that they have here are constructed exactly how the ships they came over in were built. Mom got a really cute picture of Brittannia walking up the gangplank on her ipod but the stinking thing wouldn't let me upload it to my blog. But Brittannia reached for both of the rope had rails and tired using them to walk up to the ship.
Mom, Brittannia and Robert standing on the Captain's private deck. Which is on the back of the boat.
Robert would only fit in the Captain's quaters so her would half to be the captain if he lived back then.
 Chilling in the gun portal.
Robert here is looking through a matchlock gun, one of the few types of guns that they had back then to defend the fort.
So after leaving the settlement we went down to go see the actual Jamestown Fort on the way you can stop off and see the actual glass blowing building that they had back then. Also when we left Grandma got Brittannia pacifier sucker and Brittannia LOVED it. She would not let it go at all.
She had such a grip on the thing that we had to wait for her to be done with it before we could get it out and clean up the sticky mess. We let that fall to Grandma since she gave the thing to Brittannia. And grandma did not mind.

After Jamestown we headed over to Virginia Beach.
